Italian two-wheeler brand Aprilia is all set to launch its SR 175 scooter in India by July 2025. Sources have revealed that even before the launch of the SR 175 scooter, many dealerships across the country have started bringing units to showrooms, which suggests that the launch date of the Aprilia SR 175 scooter is very close.
Power of Aprilia SR 175 Scooter
The SR 175 will be powered by a new 174.7cc air-cooled, 3-valve single-cylinder engine, which is a newly upgraded version of the motor used in the SR 160.
The motor produces 12.9 hp at 7,200 rpm and 14.1 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm, giving it a significant performance bump over the SR 160 (11.3 hp and 13.4 Nm).
Tech upgrade with TFT instrument cluster
One of the biggest updates is the new colour TFT instrument cluster, which replaces the old LCD display. The unit is similar to the one found on the Aprilia RS 457 and also offers Bluetooth connectivity for call alerts, music control and smartphone notifications.
Chassis, sharper look of Aprilia SR 175 Scooter
The SR 175 shares the same frame, suspension setup and 14-inch wheels as the outgoing SR 160. Braking now gets single-channel ABS with front disc and rear drum brakes. While the bodywork remains the same, Aprilia has introduced new sporty graphics inspired by its RS lineup, including dual-tone graphics like white-red and purple-red.
Aprilia SR 175 Scooter Expected Price
While Aprilia has not officially announced the price yet, industry sources suggest that the Aprilia SR 175 will be priced around ₹1.31 – 1.32 lakh (ex-showroom), which puts it close to the SR 160.
