Hero Vida VX2 Electric Scooter

Hero MotoCorp has launched its new entry-level electric scooter Vida VX2 in India with a starting price of ₹59,490 (ex-showroom). The Vida VX was launched on July 1, 2025.

The Vida VX2 comes in two variants.
1) VX2 Go (2.2 kWh) – ₹59,490
2) VX2 Plus (3.4 kWh) – ₹64,990

The prices of these electric scooters are applicable under the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model, where customers rent the battery instead of owning it, which significantly reduces the initial cost.

If you opt for the battery option, then you will have to pay an additional ₹99,490 for the Go model and ₹109,990 for the Plus variant.

Both these scooters also support fast charging, so it takes about 60 minutes to charge from 0-80%. And if charged in standard home charging, it takes about 3.5 to 5.5 hours, depending on the variant.

Tech and Features
The VX2 lineup will be offered with connected features like remote immobilization, over-the-air (OTA) updates via Vida, ride telemetry via cloud connectivity, geo-fencing and live tracking.

The Plus variant gets a full-colour 4.3-inch TFT screen, while the Go gets a simpler LCD screen. Both models support multiple ride modes, with the Plus offering an additional Sport mode.

Design and comfort
The Vida VX2 adopts a more simple and urban-friendly design compared to its predecessor. Key highlights include: LED lighting, 12-inch alloy wheels, Plenty of under-seat storage (Go: 33.2L, Plus: slightly less due to twin battery packaging), Optional disc brakes and pillion backrest.

What makes it different
The biggest attraction is the battery-as-a-service model that sets it apart from its competitors, which lowers the entry barrier for consumers by separating the cost of the battery from the cost of the scooter. And since people can easily afford it, it makes it easier and less expensive for EV buyers and daily urban commuters.

Hero claims that the Vida VX2 has a running cost of just ₹0.96 per km, making it one of the most cost-efficient options in the market.
