Mahindra BE 6e, XEV 9e to get bigger battery in two pack variants – deliveries from July-end.
Mahindra has once again made waves in the EV segment. The company has introduced a larger 79kWh battery option for the two battery pack variants of both the Mahindra BE 6e and XUV 9e, which were earlier available with only a 59kWh unit. Deliveries of these upgraded models are set to begin by July-end 2025, which will increase flexibility for EV buyers in India.
Dual battery options – more choice for buyers.
With the new 79kWh battery option now available for both battery pack trims, buyers can choose as per their convenience and preference:
Variant | Battery Size | Ex‑Showroom Price (Approx.) |
---|---|---|
Mahindra BE 6e Pack Two | 59 kWh | ₹ 21.90 lakh |
79 kWh | ₹ 23.50 lakh | |
Mahindra XUV 9e Pack Two | 59 kWh | ₹ 24.90 lakh |
79 kWh | ₹ 26.50 lakh |
The update also offers a better price-to-performance balance for those who were considering buying. With the 79kWh battery option, the Mahindra BE 6e is now priced at the same price as the mid-tier variant and the battery range is at the top-tier, making it a better option than the fully loaded Pack Three version.
Performance and Range.
City Range: Up to 500km with 79kWh battery (BE 6e and XUV 9e).
Motor Output: 210kW with 79kWh battery pack variant, and 170kW with 59kWh battery pack variant.
DC Fast Charging: Battery charges from 20% to 80% in about 20 minutes (at 175kW charging speed for 79kWh).
Buyers looking for a long-range electric SUV now have better options without paying a higher premium for Pack Three, which is offered by the company.
