Bentley has unveiled its vision for its first electric Bentley concept car. The concept is a three-seat elevated sporting sedan and draws on the company’s rich heritage of grand tours, the EXP15. It’s a high-riding crossover that gives us a glimpse of what Bentley could look like in the future. As sedans like the Mossane lose popularity and SUVs like the Bentayga gain popularity, cars with this scale and EV powertrain are likely to play a much bigger role in the luxury space. The EXP 15 is inspired by the legendary Bentley Speed 6 coupe, which was bodied by Gurney Nutting in a three-seat body. Its custodian, Bentley chairman Wolf Bonato, nicknamed the Blue Train after the famous Levan Blur of Canning in London, ran into the locomotive just before the train reached Calala. An admirable feat in the car that gave birth to the EXP15.
Some design highlights of the Bentley concept EXP 15. Even though it is an electric car and does not need a grill to cool the internal combustion engine, it still has a front grille. To stay true to what we have seen from Bentley design, and to serve as a piece of digital artwork. Look closely and you will see the triangular sections, backlit of course, and they are indeed designed to mimic the diamond quilting found in current Bentley interiors.
The concept EXP 15 has been given a lighting that mimics the design of the vertical headlights. There is now a new Bentley wing badge on top of the grille. Now, this will be carried forward on future Bentleys. And Bentley says that where the previous badge had the wings of an owl, there are now the wings of a falcon.
The Bentley concept EXP 15 has a new flying B logo. This “B” logo automatically pops in and out when you lock and unlock the car or press a button inside the vehicle. And this is much less anatomically correct with fewer feathers and it looks much more contemporary than the previous design.
Speaking of the bonnet, it’s very long in typical Bentley fashion, but there are some new details if you look closely. There are leather straps on this, but they have a purpose. They actually serve as part of the opening mechanism for the piano hinged doors.

And I don’t think I’ve ever seen leather on the exterior of a car before. In profile, the EXP15 has a very cab-back design where the cabin sits more towards the rear of the vehicle than the front.
It’s mainly monolithic with smooth straight panels taking up 2/3 of the surface area with the cabin taking up 1/3 of the cabin. You’ll find backlit side vents, ultra-skinny cameras that double as door mirrors, and large aero-optimized alloy wheels.
The EXP-15 also features what Bentley calls a resting beast position, where the rear end is angled outwards like a big cat’s upper legs bent as it prepares to pounce on its prey, but isn’t completely horizontal, leaning forward aggressively or leaning back, looking lazy.
At the back of the EXP15, it’s all about big, clean surfaces, and huge lights at the back. And then, in the center, the new Bentley badge. Below you get a large diffuser and, interestingly, up top, two active spoilers. Bentley also promises to add two deployable picnic seats that let you open the boot and enjoy alfresco dining with your EXP 15.

Here’s something else interesting. This car has three doors. There’s only one door for the driver, but on the passenger side, there are two plus no B-pillar. And you know what that means? The back door opens like a suicide door,
and the front door is usually hinged and opens the traditional way. And there are three seats inside. One for the driver and then two in the back, with space for your luggage or a dog box for your furry friend next to the driver.
If you choose not to take the dog, the back seat can slide forward and become a front seat. Or, as the driver, if you’re tired of your passenger, you can move them to the rear position. And the rear seat can be rotated so you can get in and out of the car more easily. The interior isn’t fully finished yet, so we don’t have much information, except that it was designed using virtual reality software and features Bentley staples like luxury seating, exclusive materials, and a wing-shaped dashboard, plus a sprinkling of digital displays that can be adjusted depending on the driver’s mood. Similarly, there’s not enough information to say about the car’s drivetrain or performance, except that it will be fully electric, and its design will inspire Bentley’s first production electric car, which is due to be revealed in early 2026. Will it look like this? We’ll have to wait and see, but it’s clear that the EXP15 isn’t really a car. It’s a message that luxury can be reimagined, that performance doesn’t have to scream, it can be silent.
