Codenamed Bigster, the model is built on the CMF-B platform and shares a lot of design similarities with the Dacia Bigster seen in international markets.
Key Highlights of Renault Duster
The design of the car is boxy and modern with diamond cut squared-off wheel arches, new LED DRLs, roof rails on the roof which give the car a taller and more off-road capable appeal.
The likely powertrain will be a 1.2L turbo petrol, diesel is unlikely, and AWD has also been removed to control the price.
The 5-seater Duster is likely to be launched in early 2026, followed by a 7-seater variant by the end of the year.
The Renault Duster’s main rivals are the Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus and Mahindra XUV700 which are already selling their cars in India.
This new Duster will target a completely new avatar and segment in the Indian market.
