Maruti suzuki E-Vitara (EV)

Maruti’s first electric vehicle for 2026, the Vitara, will compete with the Hyundai Creta (around 4.3 metres) in size. It will offer a range of 450-500 km and an estimated price between ₹18-24 lakh. Key features include:

  • Sunroof
  • 360° camera
  • Ventilated seats
  • Rear AC vents
  • 10-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
  • Digital instrument cluster

Infrastructure setup in top cities, shortage of rare earth metals and internal software issues are blamed for the launch delay. The launch window is expected to be in early 2026.

2. Maruti Baleno (Hybrid and Petrol)

The Baleno will get major upgrades, including redesigned interior and exterior styling, a switch from a four-cylinder to a 1.2L three-cylinder engine (better mileage and hybrid-ready).

Features: 360° camera, 9-10 inch touchscreen, head-up display, rear AC vents, Type-C charging, wireless charging pad will also be made available.

The Fronx will also get a possible hybrid variant with a three-cylinder petrol engine at a cheaper premium. Pricing is expected to be between ₹9-16.5 lakh.

4. Maruti Punch rival SUV

A new compact SUV to rival the Tata Punch will be launched in late 2026 or early 2027.

Engine options: 1.2L manual or AMT, will come with optional CNG.
