Renault KWID base model price starts at 4.30lakh and goes up to 5.90 lakh for the top model in India.
To celebrate the decade of the KWID, Renault has launched a limited run 10th Anniversary Edition in India, with 500 units featuring an exclusive dual-tone paint scheme, decals, illuminated scuff plates, puddle lamps and yellow interior accents.
Cosmetic updates are expected for the facelift, including a new 2D Renault logo, tweaked headlights, revised bumpers, new wheel designs and fresh colour options. Interior improvements include updated upholstery and a possible USB Type-C charging port in higher trims.
Key Features
The powertrain remains the 1.0L naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 68-69 PS of power and 91 Nm of torque, with options of 5-speed manual and AMT transmissions.
The SUV-inspired styling includes high ground clearance (184 mm), LED DRLs, LED taillights, roof rails (top trims) and an integrated rear spoiler.
The KWID lineup now comes standard with safety features including six airbags and 3-point seatbelts for all seats, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control, Hill Assist (AMT only), ISOFIX child seat mounts, engine immobilizer, rear parking sensors with camera (top trims) and speed alert systems.
Comfort and convenience include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, digital instrument cluster, keyless entry, power windows, remote locking and steering-mounted audio controls in higher trims.
No advanced ADAS such as automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control or lane assist systems are currently available.
The Renault KWID is available in 7 different colours: Fiery Red Dual Tone, Metal Mustard Black Roof, Moonlight Silver with Black Roof, Moonlight Silver, Zanskar Blue, Zanskar Blue Black Roof and Ice Cool White with Black Roof.
