
The two-wheeler market in India continued to grow in July 2025, showing strong year-on-year (YoY) growth. Total domestic sales for the month stood at 14.99 lakh units, up from 13.71 lakh units in July 2024, showing an overall growth of an impressive 9.29%.

Honda retains top spot in July.
Honda continues to dominate the two-wheeler segment in India, selling 4,66,331 units in July 2025. These sales have increased by 6.2% over the previous year. The brand holds the highest market share with 31.11% due to popular and reliable products like Honda Activa and Shine, Honda motorcycles and scooters are popular among daily commuters in India.
Strong growth of Hero and TVS
Hero is at the second position in July 2025 with sales of 4,12,397 units,
which has shown a year-on-year growth of 18.66%. Models like Splendor, HF Deluxe and Xpulse are popular and reliable in the rural and semi-urban markets, helping Hero maintain strong traction.
TVS Motor Company also had a great month of July 2025, in which they sold 3,08,720 units, which is 21.42% more than the sales in July last year. Models like TVS Rider 125, Apache series and Jupiter scooters are gaining popularity in India, due to which TVS is at the third position.
The figures reflect the growing demand for fuel-efficient bikes and scooters in India, as people look for fuel-efficient vehicles for regular commuting.
Bajaj and Suzuki saw a decline in sales.
Unlike its other bike rivals, Bajaj Auto saw a 17.51% decline in sales, with Bajaj selling 1,68,847 units last year, down from 1,39,279 units this year. The decline could be due to limited domestic demand for some of its models, as Bajaj is heavily focused on exports.
Suzuki also saw a 4.55% decline year-on-year. The brand sold 96,029 units in July 2025, compared to 1,00,602 units in the same month last year. Despite the Suzuki Access and Burgman scooters being well-received, the company saw a decline in sales.
Royal Enfield shows good growth
The surprise winner as per this month’s sales report is Royal Enfield, which sold 61,208 units last July and 76,254 units in July 2025. It has registered a growth of 24.58%, which is the highest among all the brands on this list. With models like the Classic 350, Hunter and the new Himalayan, Royal Enfield continues to attract both city riders and touring enthusiasts.
