Price: ₹23.69 Lakh | Battery: 79 kWh | Range: 400-450 km
The Mahindra BE6 Formula E Edition has finally been launched in India at an attractive ex-showroom price of ₹23.69 lakh. Based on the Pack 2, this special edition is available only with a 79 kWh battery pack, which offers an impressive real-world range of 400-450 km on a single charge. Mahindra has made significant changes to the exterior, interior and equipment list to differentiate it from the Regular Mahindra BE6 and the older Batman Edition.
Mahindra BE6 Formula E Edition Exterior Changes
At the front of the BE6 Formula E Edition, Mahindra has done away with the connected DRLs and replaced them with a new design that also acts as turn indicators. The headlamps now get round projector-style LED units, while the bumper has been completely redesigned to give the SUV a sharper, sportier stance. The front continues to offer parking sensors and a 360° camera.
There is a unique hollow section under the nose that allows airflow to pass cleanly through the car, which improves aerodynamics and contributes to better drag efficiency. The SUV offers a premium and muscular look, especially appealing to buyers looking for a sporty EV under ₹25 lakh.
Looking at the side, the signature coupe-like profile remains intact. The model gets bold orange brake calipers and 20-inch alloy wheels with 245/50 R20 tyres. Mahindra has also used thick soft damping material around the wheel wells, which provides impressive cabin insulation even for an EV. NFC-enabled door handles, sporty ORVMs and “Formula E” badging are featured in the side profile.
The rear design is noticeably sporty with its sloping coupe roofline, large spoiler, redesigned tail lamps with integrated turn indicators and two parking sensors (one of which is purely cosmetic). The tailgate opens manually and gets a practical boot with a partial tray, deep storage, hooks, lights, 12V socket and space-saver spare tyre.
Interior Changes & Features

Inside, the Formula E Edition continues its black and orange theme. The doors open wide at 90°, making it easy to get in and out. The cabin features Harman Kardon speakers, premium soft-touch suede elements, orange stitching and redesigned fabric upholstery that give it a more premium feel than before.
The rear seats offer good legroom and knee room, although thigh support is a bit lacking. You also get two adjustable headrests, an armrest with cupholders, magazine pockets, coat-hook mounts and a flat floor. A Type-C port is placed on top, making it easy to access, along with roof-mounted LED lights and a panoramic fixed roof. However, there are no rear AC controls or USB ports.
Front Cabin & Features of BE6 Formula E Edition
The front seating area feels modern and driver-centric. You get manual seat adjustment, metal-finish pedals with rubber studs, and a chunky D-cut steering wheel with controls for region, boost mode, cruise control, audio, and menu navigation.
You get a dual-screen setup that offers crisp graphics, including a high-quality 360° camera with front, rear, 3D, and bird’s-eye views. The center touchscreen supports Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, battery health monitoring, energy info, drive modes, and system apps.
The cabin truly feels like a cockpit, thanks to the immersive dash design, orange inserts, and Lamborghini-style flip-to-start button. Below the central panel, you get a wireless charger, cupholders, cooled glove box and a rotary drive mode selector. You also get drive modes: Range, Everyday, Race, Default, Snow, Street.
The key fob feels premium and includes options for lock, unlock, boot and pre-cooling functions. Other features include auto-dimming IRVM, vanity mirrors with lights, roof control buttons, hazard switch and a dedicated camera activation button.
Performance, Battery & Range
The BE6 Formula E Edition is powered by a 79 kWh battery pack, which offers an expected real-world range of 400-450 km, depending on driving style and conditions. With a spacious cabin for four people and its sporty coupe silhouette, the BE6 is best suited for young families or enthusiasts who prefer style and technology over rear seat space.

On-road price and value
The Formula E Edition is expected to be priced around ₹25 lakh on-road, depending on your state. With EV subsidies in states like Uttar Pradesh, buyers will be able to get it close to the ex-showroom price (plus insurance).
For the features and style on offer, the BE6 Formula E Edition offers excellent value in the ₹20-25 lakh EV segment.
