Full Explained Mahindra XUV 3XO REVX lineup
Usually, when a new car or variant is launched, manufacturers only add a few cosmetic changes like new colours, stickers or minor updates. But when Mahindra introduced the REVX variant of the XUV 3XO to its existing XUV 3XO SUV lineup, they treated it differently. And they have even released a separate brochure for it.
So let’s find out what the difference is and who this car is for.
Whenever a car is launched, the price of its variant is decided based on the features and market demand. But customer expectations and price trends change with time. That is why the REVX series was created, to better balance the features and price. If you compare it with the regular variants, the REVX offers more value for money. And if you are like me, who enjoys driving, this lineup still makes sense.
Think about it: In a budget of ₹9 lakh, if you buy a hatchback or a tall hatchback, you will usually get standard features like keyless entry, steering-mounted controls, a music system, a touchscreen and maybe a rear armrest. But the XUV 3XO is a big SUV that has a more powerful engine and robust safety features even in the base variant. The trade-off is that you don’t get all the little creature comforts in the lower trims. For example, things like driver seat height adjustment, a central headrest in the rear, or leather seats are usually only available in the higher trims priced at ₹10-10.5 lakh.
With the REVX range, that changes. The REVX-M variant, priced at ₹8.94 lakh (ex-showroom), comes with a 1.2L turbo petrol manual engine and offers most of those useful features right out of the box. Add just ₹50,000 more, and the REVX-M optional gets you a sunroof too. The mechanics remain the same, but the features get a boost.
Then comes the REVX-A variant, while the REVX-M aims to offer a price tag of under ₹10 lakh, the REVX-A focuses on high-end features and performance in the ₹10-12 lakh range. The big highlight here is that the XUV 3XO is the only car in its segment to offer two turbo petrol engines. In addition to the regular one, you also get a more powerful 1.2L GDI engine with 130 PS and 230 Nm. Earlier, this was available only in the expensive AX5L trim priced at ₹12.62 lakh. Now, the REVX-A brings it down to ₹11.79 lakh, making it more accessible.
For driving enthusiasts, this is a great deal, thanks to the suspension and chassis that give you strong power, precise handling and a great balance of comfort and stability. It’s a real pleasure to drive, it feels strong and fun behind the wheel.
In terms of features, the REVX-A packs everything from the AX5 variant and also adds extras usually reserved for the top trims, such as a dual-tone roof with skyroof, body-colored grille, black alloy wheels and dark leather seats.
In short, the REVX range/lineup is not just a cosmetic update or a limited-edition version. It’s an entirely new lineup designed to give customers better value with more features at the right price points.
