Mercedes AMG-GT XX Concept Unveiled With 1,340hp Power

Mercedes-AMG has officially revealed its most extreme EV concept yet, the Concept GT XX. This sleek four-door electric super sedan is not just a vision but a production-purpose preview of what AMG’s high-performance electric future could look like. The Concept GT XX features Formula 1-derived battery tech, active aerodynamics and a 1,340 hp tri-motor powertrain, and is designed to compete with the likes of the Lucid Air Sapphire and Porsche Taycan Turbo GT.
Extreme EV power and innovation.
Inside the Mercedes-AMG GT XX is a tri-motor setup, with two motors in the rear and one in the front, producing around 1 megawatt (1,340hp) of power. Using axial-flux motors, it delivers lightning-fast speeds of over 360km/h, and promises ultra-efficient torque vectoring via AMG’s advanced 4MATIC+ system.

Next-generation battery and charging tech
The GT XX is built on the AMG.EA electric platform, with the concept featuring an 800V architecture that supports charging speeds of up to 850kW. That means you can add around 400km of range from a charge in just 5 minutes, a claim that far exceeds today’s fast chargers.
Aerodynamics and design excellence
The Concept GT XX places great emphasis on active aerodynamics. With self-powered active wheel blades that aid aerodynamics to a drag coefficient of just 0.198, every surface of the Concept GT XX has been optimized for performance and efficiency. The design is aggressive yet fluid, with the Concept GT XX painted in a bold orange shade inspired by the classic Mercedes C111.
Interior
The interior design will offer a minimal and modern appeal. Carbon-fiber has been used to enhance strength and reduce weight, with carbon-fiber bucket seats, a yoke-style steering wheel, dual MBUX displays and exposed high-voltage lines also seen. AMG has also used sustainable materials such as LABFIBER and 3D-printed, body-scan-based seat cushions.

Ready for production? Almost.
While the concept GT XX might seem like it could make it to market, the GT XX is registered with a VIN, which suggests it’s more than just a design study. Most of its core technology – motors, battery, charging system, platform – is expected to debut on an actual AMG EV model in early 2026.
