The 2025 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V TFT is the latest top-end variant of TVS’ popular 160cc motorcycle, priced at ₹1.16 lakh (ex-showroom), which is around ₹8,000 more than the previous top model. For this extra price, you get some major updates in design and features. The front end now looks sharper and more aggressive with a projector LED headlamp setup, LED DRLs and slim LED indicators. It gets gold-anodized USD forks, rear monoshock, petal disc brakes with dual-channel ABS and traction control adding to both style and safety.
The bike retains the same 160cc engine, which produces 17.55 PS and 14.73 Nm of torque, with three ride modes – Urban, Rain and Sport. Sport mode delivers full power, while Urban and Rain modes prioritize smoothness and safety. The engine is refined, rev-happy and delivers excellent pickup with a sporty exhaust note. Thanks to the slipper clutch and smooth gearbox, gearshifts are smooth, and the riding experience is lively and controlled.
A major highlight is the 5-inch TFT display, which has been taken from the Apache RTR 310. It displays ride data like lap timer, 0-60 timer, top speed, traction control settings, auto-brightness and much more. The screen also changes color with riding modes, which gives a premium feel in this segment.

Comfort has been another strong point. The rider and pillion seats are well padded, providing a sporty yet comfortable riding posture. The suspension is tuned 30% for comfort and 70% for stability, which means it handles city potholes well at low speeds while also providing confidence in cornering and spirited riding. Braking is sharp at the front, although the rear ABS can feel a little harsh at times.
Talking about mileage, the Apache 160 4V returns an average of around 35-40 kmpl, making it efficient for both city commutes and weekend rides. The build quality, switchgear and graphics also feel premium.

Conclusion
So, should you buy it? The TFT variant makes the Apache RTR 160 4V an attractive option for riders who want a feature-packed, sporty motorcycle without spending as much as the Yamaha MT-15 or KTM Duke 160. It offers class-leading power, modern features like traction control and TFT display, and aggressive styling at a more affordable price. If you don’t need these extra features, the lower variants still offer great value. But if you want the premium feel of a higher-segment bike at a budget-friendly price, this TFT variant is worth considering.
