If you are planning to buy a new car after the recent GST reduction, then wait a while. A total of 12 new exciting cars are set to be launched in India between the end of 2025 and mid-2026. Five of these are from Tata Motors, three from Mahindra, three from Hyundai and one from Maruti Suzuki. Interestingly, an SUV that once dominated its segment is also making a comeback.
1.Tata Punch Facelift

Tata Motors first launched the Punch in 2021, and it is finally getting a facelift. The new Punch will come with an aggressive grille, redesigned bumper, sleek DRLs and updated taillights. The interior will look similar to the Punch EV, with a dual-tone finish, a dual-spoke steering wheel with illuminated Tata logo and a large infotainment screen. The powertrain options will remain the same, with the 1.2-litre petrol and CNG kit continuing.
2.New Hyundai Venue
Hyundai is gearing up to launch the new Venue in October 2025. The SUV will get a completely new front fascia, revised grille, updated DRLs, new bumper, connected taillamps and a fresh alloy design. Under the hood, the same 1.2-litre petrol, 1.0-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines will continue, with improved tuning for smoother performance.
3.Renault Duster

The iconic Renault Duster is making a strong comeback in early 2026. It will compete with the Creta, Seltos and Grand Vitara. 5.Skoda Octavia RS
For enthusiasts, the Skoda Octavia RS will be launched on October 17, 2025. The design will be almost identical with subtle changes between the ICE and EV trims.
7.Volkswagen Tayron 7-seater SUV

Volkswagen is bringing a new 7-seater SUV to India to compete with the Toyota Fortuner and Skoda Kodiaq. It will feature three rows, premium interiors, 19-inch alloys, AWD and a 2.0L turbo petrol engine with 204 hp. It is expected to launch in 2025, priced between ₹50-55 lakhs.

Maruti Suzuki is finally entering the EV market with the eVX (also called EVR). Production has begun, and the launch is a few months away. It will come with 49 kWh and 61 kWh battery packs, offering a range of up to 500 km. It will come with premium interiors with leather finish, sunroof, ambient lighting, digital cluster and ADAS Level 2.
10.Tata Harrier Petrol
For years, the Tata Harrier was available only with a diesel engine. Now, Tata will launch its 1.5L turbo petrol variant that produces 168 PS and 280 Nm. Both manual and automatic options will be available by the end of 2025.
11.Tata Safari Petrol
