The BMW X5 is priced in India starting at Rs 2.31 crore* ex-showroom, and has been launched in India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU).
The 2025 M5(G90) sedan comes with the first plug-in hybrid iteration in the M5 lineup, powered by a twin-turbo 4.4-litre V8 petrol engine and an 18.6 kWh electric battery and motor, producing 717bhp@5600-6500rpm (727 PS) and 1000Nm@1800-5400rpm, capable of reaching 0-100 km/h in 3.5 seconds, mated to an adaptive 8-speed M Steptronic transmission with rear-biased AWD M xDrive.
It gets an electric-only driving mode with a range of up to 69 km and can reach a top speed of 140 km/h in EV mode.
The car is 500 kg heavier than its predecessor due to the hybrid components, but with instant electric torque and the advanced M xDrive AWD system, it doesn’t feel heavy.
The new M5 is equipped with advanced safety features that include 7 airbags, electronic stability control, ADAS including rear collision warning, lane departure warning and more.
A price cut of around ₹2.01 crore was announced after the GST reduction (with offers on finance and buyback).
Interior and Comfort
The M5 gets a fully digital 12.3-inch instrument cluster display, a 14.9-inch curved touchscreen with BMW iDrive 8.5, premium leather upholstery, ventilated, heated and massaging seats, 4-zone climate control, ambient lighting and much more.
Safety and ADAS
A comprehensive safety suite is available, including ABS, ESC, EBD, multiple airbags, traction control, blind-spot monitoring, 360° camera, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, automatic emergency braking and semi-autonomous parking.
